Even when 2017 quarterback Tate Martell was committed to Texas A&M, Ohio State was never too far from his thoughts.
Ohio State QB commit Tate Martell explains his 2 decommits from other schools
He’s on his third commitment, but you can expect this one to stick.

Martell decommitted from A&M in May and he’s happy to become a Buckeye, he told SB Nation at The Opening’s Elite 11 finals this week.
“I really went Ohio State, even while I was committed to A&M, fully committed to them, that was the only other school that really caught my eye because I’ve always been an Ohio State fan,” he said.
The five-star quarterback from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas is the top dual-threat QB in the nation and the No. 3 quarterback overall, according to the 247Sports Composite.
Ohio State is now the third school Martell has committed to. After pledging to Washington and Steve Sarkisian when he was in middle school, he decommitted in 2015. He later verbally agreed to attend Texas A&M, but decided to part ways with the Aggies in May.
“I made a decision in seventh grade,” he said. “I can’t really give you a reason for that besides that I was 13 years old and immature. [Texas A&M], I thought, was the place for me, but with the coaching change and stuff like that I know it wasn’t the best fit for me.”
