4-star WR Oliver Martin commits to UM, jumps in a pool with a fully clothed Jim Harbaugh

Let’s just say the head coach was excited.

With just a couple days left before National Signing Day, college football head coaches across the country are hitting the recruiting trail. On Monday evening, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh landed a commitment from four-star receiver Oliver Martin.

Martin, who is seen making his Michigan pledge in the video below, then jumps into a pool fully clothed, along with Harbaugh, and UM assistant coach Pep Hamilton. Yes, both coaches were both also fully dressed.

Harbaugh was recruiting Martin at his high school swimming practice in Iowa City. The Detroit News captured this priceless photo of Harbaugh sporting a swim cap and goggles with some of Martin’s swimming teammates. Martin is below on the left.

Harbaugh was in attendance at Martin’s practice last week, as well. There, he ran into the man who accidentally hit him with his car when he was six years old. Looks like Harbaugh’s attendance at swim practice paid off.

Martin is the 18th four-star addition to Harbaugh’s 2017 class, which currently has 27 total members, and is ranked fourth in the country per 247Sports Composite. Let’s watch these three make a splash one more time, in GIF form.

Here’s some tape of Martin playing at Nike’s Opening recruiting showcase and the Army All-American Bowl:
