The second All-Star game this week for some of the nation’s top 2018 recruits, will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Featuring the top 100 players throughout the country, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl is one of the most prestigious high school All-American games in the country. Separated into teams East and West, a lot of players competing will be lining up next to future teammates — and rivals.

Some four- and five-star prospects are expected to announce their commitment on Saturday.

From former Heisman Trophy winners to more than 400 NFL players, some of the most tenured football players have come through the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Some of the game’s alumni include, Adrian Peterson, Tim Tebow, Odell Beckham Jr., and Eric Berry.
While most of the players competing have already signed their National Letters of Intent during the Early Signing Period in late-December, there are still a good numbers of prospects who have waited to make a traditional commitment announcement during the All-American Bowl. Five-star WR Amon-Ra St. Brown is expected to make his announcement on Saturday, as well as four-stars CB Brendan Radley-Hiles, WR Rondale Moore, and OG Chris Murray.
Teammates St. Brown and Murray out of Mater Del, in Santa Ana, California, are both expected to stay on the West Coast for their college years: St. Brown is predicted to choose USC, while Murray is expected to pick UCLA. Radley-Hiles has been an Oklahoma lean for awhile now, and Moore is strongly considering joining the Big Ten’s Purdue.
All high school football seniors are eligible for selection to the All-American Bowl, with the selection process including analysis from the U.S. Army National Combine and various camps and clinics throughout the country. The field is narrowed down to the top 400 senior nominees, who are then further reduced to the 100 players competing.
