Corey Robinson, the Sun Belt leader in passing yards per game, was carted off the field Thursday night against Western Kentucky after taking a hard hit on a Bar’ee Boyd sack late in the second quarter. The redshirt junior, a former Sun Belt freshman of the year and New Orleans Bowl MVP, looked woozy after emerging from a crowd of teammates and being helped onto a golf cart near midfield.
Corey Robinson injury: Troy’s record-breaking QB carted off field
Troy looks to have lost starting quarterback Corey Robinson to an apparent head injury against Western Kentucky.

Robinson holds Troy’s records for yards in a single game, passing yards in a season and more.
Looking on just feet away was famed sports physician Dr. James Andrews, who practices in the Birmingham area and was wearing Troy gear.
The three-year starter was replaced by Deon Anthony, a community college transfer and fellow junior. At the break, the Trojans lead WKU, 17-14. Anthony has gotten reps, with 13 passes and five rushes on the year and appearances in all five games so far.
