The 24th-ranked Boise St. Broncos face off with the Fresno St. Bulldogs in a matchup of two of the strongest teams in the Mountain West Conference. Boise State is 4-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Mountain West; the Broncos recovered from a Week 1 loss to Michigan State by beating Miami (Ohio), just getting the best of BYU, holding on against New Mexico, and throttling Southern Mississippi.

The 24th-ranked Boise State Broncos take on the Fresno State Bulldogs at home on the Smurf Turf in an early afternoon contest on the NBC Sports Network. Boise is favored by about a touchdown.


Boise State must now battle a Fresno State team that is 4-2 to start 2012. The Bulldogs went 2-2 in non-conference play by beating up on Weber State and Colorado, but then dropped two games when they lost to Oregon and were edged out by Tulsa. Fresno recovered to win their first two games of conference play, winning a shootout with San Diego State 52-40 and edging out Colorado State 28-7. The Broncos and the Bulldogs are two of the four remaining teams in the MWC that are undefeated in conference play, with Nevada (2-0) and UNLV (1-0) the other two schools.
