Kentucky vs. Arkansas final score: Rain ends game, Razorbacks finally right offense

Arkansas smashed Kentucky in the first rain-shortened game in Razorback history.

Arkansas thoroughly dominated Kentucky, defeating the Wildcats 49-7 in the first ever Razorback game to be called early. There were multiple long rain delays, including one that ultimately ended the game with 5:04 left in the third quarter.

During the game, however, it was all Arkansas. Tyler Wilson led the Razorback offense, going 22-31 with 372 yards passing and five touchdowns. Jonathan Williams led Arkansas receivers with 150 yards and two touchdowns on just three catches. Dennis Johnson paced the rushing game, gaining 82 yards on just 12 carries with two rushing touchdowns.

Kentucky was unable to mount any offense, only gaining 170 yards in the rain-shortened game. The visitors' quarterbacks were especially inept, only completing four passes. The Wildcats' sole touchdown came on a Jalen Whitlow 61-yard touchdown pass to La'Rod King with the game essentially over.

Box Score Hero: Jonathan Williams - The Arkansas receiver collected 150 yards receiving on just three catches. Williams had two 70+ yard touchdown receptions in the first quarter alone.

Rankings Ramifications: Neither team received votes in last week’s AP poll, and both are unlikely to receive votes next week eight.

But Did They Cover?: Arkansas covered the 16-point spread.
