Syracuse (2-4, 1-1) has been playing better of late, narrowly losing to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights 23-15 last weekend on the road. Despite quarterback Ryan Nassib throwing for 356 yards and a touchdown, the Orange couldn't overcome four turnovers.
Now, Syracuse faces a stiff test in the Huskies. UConn (3-4, 0-2) is coming off a tough 17-14 overtime loss to the Temple Owls, dropping to a game below .500. The Huskies have played almost every game right down to the wire, but have struggled to close games out.
UConn has been led by quarterback Chandler Whitmer, whose prolific playmaking has been offset by his tendency to commit turnovers. The sophomore has thrown for 1,535 yards and six touchdowns, but has also tossed 10 interceptions.
