The Seminoles have looked excellent this season, except for their lone loss against the North Carolina State Wolfpack, in which they blew a fourth quarter lead. Jimbo Fisher's club comes into the game ranked 14th in the country and second in the ACC Atlantic Division behind the Maryland Terrapins. E.J. Manuel has been efficient all year, tossing 14 touchdowns and throwing for 1,804 yards in 2012.
After the Hurricanes, the Seminoles have three contests versus unranked opponents before tangling with the No. 2 Florida Gators on Nov. 24.
Miami is coming off two straight losses, having dropped games to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and North Carolina Tar Heels. Running back Duke Johnson has been the highlight of the year for the rebuilding Hurricanes, amassing 428 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.
