Alabama’s defense has been stifling all year, even thus far surpassing the greatness that was last year’s defense. The Crimson Tide lead the country in points and yards allowed per game, giving up miniscule averages of 7.5 points and 181.2 yards.
Alabama's offense has not been too shabby either, as they are averaging 40.5 points per game on the season. Quarterback A.J. McCarron has been efficient, completing 67.4 percent of his passes while throwing for 12 touchdowns and zero interceptions. On the ground, the running back duo of Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon has combined for over 900 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Tennessee is just 3-3 and winless so far in SEC play, but the Volunteers could still provide Alabama with a tough test. The Vols' offense is averaging 38.0 points per game, thanks in large part to the strong quarterback play of Tyler Bray. If the Vols' much-maligned defense can step up to the challenge, Tennessee may have a chance at the upset.
