Landry Jones completed 20 of his 29 passes for 300 yards, and threw for three touchdowns. Kenny Stills led all Oklahoma receivers with six receptions for 90 yards and a touchdown.

The Oklahoma Sooners handled their business, defeating the Kansas Jayhawks 52-7.
Redshirt freshman Mike Cummings was ineffective in his first start for the Jayhawks, going 10-21 for 110 yards while throwing two interceptions. Running back James Sims proved to be the lone bright spot for the Kansas offense, collecting 153 total yards and a rushing touchdown.
