The Penn St. Nittany Lions came into Saturday's game against the Iowa Hawkeyes having not won a game at Kinnick Stadium in 13 years. In fact, Kinnick has been a house of horrors for the Nittany Lions in recent years. However, this year is different for pretty much everything involving Penn State football, and this game was no exception. The Nittany Lions ran roughshod over the Hawkeyes, winning 38-14. Matt McGloin and Bill Belton lead the PSU offense to a 38-0 lead, and the defense held the Iowa offense to only 201 total yards.

The Nittany Lions crushed the Hawkeyes 38-14 to win their fifth straight game. It was Penn State’s first win in Iowa City since 1999.

McGloin continued his recent run of impressive form, going 26-38 for 291 yards and two touchdowns. Nine players caught a pass, with tight end Kyle Carter leading the receivers with 74 yards. Running back Bill Belton ran for three touchdowns and 103 yards to complete a dominating performance for the Nittany Lions.
For Iowa, it was more of the same problems that have been plaguing them all year. James Vandenberg completed less than 50% of his passes, and the running game was nonexistent despite Greg Weisman's efforts to play on a hobbled ankle. Keenan Davis was the lone bright spot for the Hawkeye offense, pulling in 83 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Box Score Hero: Tough to choose between McGloin and Belton, but Belton gets the nod based on his three touchdowns.
Rankings Ramifications: Penn State was on the periphery of the Top 25 before this game and could very well be ranked afterwards.
But did they cover? Iowa was favored by 3, so they definitely did not cover the spread.
