The undefeated Louisville Cardinals take on the Cincinnati Bearcats in a matchup with major implications for the Big East title race. Cincinnati is coming off their only loss of the season after dropping a surprise game to Toledo.

It seemed after the start of the season that a 7-0 Louisville would play host to a 6-0 Cincinnati squad. But that went up in smoke this past weekend, when the Bearcats dropped a 29-23 upset loss on the road against a talented Toledo Rockets team. The loss by a ranked team to a MAC squad isn't as embarrassing as it might seem on the surface - the Rockets are 7-1, with only a close loss Week 1 to Arizona - but the defeat dropped the then-No. 21 Bearcats out of the BCS rankings.
Louisville is still undefeated, but they’ve been playing with fire all season. They haven’t won by more than ten points since a Week 2 matchup with FCS Missouri State, winning close ones with some truly bad teams - they beat Southern Miss and FIU, a combined 1-15, by a combined 11 points - and just scraped out a 27-25 win against a rallying South Florida team.
Both teams are still undefeated in conference, so the winner of this game will be in great shape to compete with Rutgers for a conference title.
