Cincinnati showed the danger of overconfidence last week, when they took on the Toledo Rockets. Undefeated and ranked, Cincinnati dropped their first game of the year to the Rockets, 29-23. Like the Rockets were last week, Kent State is now 6-1, having won all four of their conference games. The Golden Flashes' only loss on the year came in Week 2 to Kentucky, since then, they're 5-0. Dri Archer is averaging over 10 yards per carry, although Trayion Durham hasn't been bad taking the majority of the team's runs with 649 yards on the year.
Rutgers has gotten their seven wins behind a defense that ranks No. 3 in the country, with Kyle Flood's squad only allowing 11.3 points per game. Kent State will provide an interesting test, as they've cleared 30 points in their last four games and scored 40 in three of them. Gary Nova has seen a major improvement in his sophomore season at the quarterback spot, tossing 15 touchdowns to only three picks.
