Harris poll: Kansas State jumps to No. 3 after Florida loss

The Florida Gators’ loss on Saturday has bumped the Kansas State Wildcats to No. 3 in the Harris Interactive Poll this week.

The Kansas St. Wildcats have moved up to No. 3 in this week's edition of the Harris Interactive College Football Poll after a series of highly-ranked teams lost over the weekend. The Alabama Crimson Tide and Oregon Ducks are still 1-2 in the poll, but a few teams saw their fortunes improve over the weekend.

The team previously ranked No. 3 in the poll, the Florida Gators, lost its first game of the season on Saturday to the Georgia Bulldogs, currently ranked No. 6 in the poll. In addition to Kansas State, the fourth-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish and fifth-ranked LSU Tigers also moved up in the rankings this week.

The Wildcats are coming off an impressive 55-24 blowout of the Texas Tech Red Raiders, then ranked No. 14 in the nation. If they can win out their remaining games and win the Big 12 Championship Game, there's a reasonable chance that the Wildcats could find themselves in the BCS Championship Game.

The other key losses in the top 10 this week were Oklahoma’s 30-13 loss to Notre Dame and Oregon State’s 20-17 loss to Washington.
