Ohio State football: Ricquan Southward leaves team, according to report
Freshman wide receiver Ricquan Southward has voluntarily left the Buckeyes football team, according to reports.

In a separate tweet, Castel said he was “told he [Southward] was just not happy at Ohio State.”
Southward was previously committed to the University of Miami (Fla.) prior to making a campus and facility visit to Columbus last November and changing his mind and commitment, according to a report Castel wrote at the time.
Castel also noted on Twitter that current Buckeyes running backs coach Stan Drayton was involved in Southward’s recruiting process, and the two developed a tight-knit relationship during that time.
No. 12 Ohio State (5-0 overall, 1-0 Big Ten) hosts the No. 21 Nebraska Cornhuskers (4-1, 1-0) on Saturday evening. The showdown will be televised on ABC.
