Former TCU safety Devin Johnson pleads guilty to marijuana delivery charges

Former TCU safety Devin Johnson was the final former Horned Frog player to plead guilty to drug charges.

Back in February, the TCU Horned Frogs football team was hit with a drug scandal where four players were arrested in a drug sting. Former safety Devin Johnson was the final former player to plead guilty to marijuana delivery charges:

Tarrant County district attorney’s spokeswoman Melody McDonald said Thursday that Devin Johnson entered his plea in August and also was ordered to pay a $300 fine and court costs.

Johnson ended up receiving probation for pleading guilty to the marijuana delivery charges.

The other former Horned Frogs players who were involved in the same drug case were D.J. Yendrey, Tanner Brock and Tyler Horn; those three pleaded guilty a few weeks prior to Johnson and also received a similar sentence of probation.

The recent news for TCU involving arrests has not been good as starting quarterback Casey Pachall, who failed a drug test back in February and, more recently, has been suspended indefinitely for being arrested on a DWI early this past week.
