College football rankings, Week 7: Florida State, Georgia drop out of top 10

There is massive shakeup in the Week 7 AP poll, as eight ranked teams went down this weekend.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have maintained the top spot in Week 7 of the AP Top 25, and the Oregon Ducks hold steady at No. 2 in the rankings. Everything after that gets crazy, following a wild weekend of college football.

Nos. 3, 4 and 5 all went down on Saturday. Florida State was upset on the road against NC State, and the Seminoles fall to No. 12 in the poll. LSU lost a defensive battle to Florida in the Swamp, dropping the Tigers to No. 9. Florida jumps up to No. 4 after the win. Georgia got blown out by South Carolina. The Bulldogs now sit at No. 14, while the Gamecocks have moved up to the No. 3 spot.

West Virginia fills out the top five after taking down Texas. The Longhorns drop four spots to No. 15.

Ohio State and Oregon State all move into the top 10. Louisiana Tech enters the poll for the first time since 1999.
