Louisville remains undefeated at 9-0, and looks to stay that way against a Syracuse team that has proven to be much improved. The No. 9 Cardinals are led by sophomore quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who has thrown for 2,434 yards and 18 touchdowns against just four interceptions.
However, Louisville can also get the job done on the ground. The combination of Senorise Perry and Jeremy Wright has produced 1,354 yards and 13 touchdowns, with Perry averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
The Orange are simply looking to make some waves with a victory and move themselves one step closer to a bowl bid. Syracuse is 4-5, but has been competitive in almost every game, with Ryan Nassib throwing for 2,773 yards and 18 scores. In fact, Nassib and Co. rank 20th nationally in passing yards per game with 308.1.
In 2011, the Orange needed just one win over its final five games to earn a bowl nomination, but fell short each time.
