TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin was injured in the first quarter of the Horned Frogs game against the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday night, but has since returned from the locker room. It's not clear whether he'll return to the game.

The Horned Frogs are now on their third-string quarterback as they try to upset Kansas State. UPDATE: He’s back.
On a first down late in the first quarter, Boykin scrambled for a 15-yard gain to set TCU up at the Kansas State 29-yard line. He remained in the game and threw an incomplete pass and then was removed. Once on the sideline, Boykin winced as coaches and trainers looked at his arm. Boykin was seen grabbing his right (throwing) arm near the shoulder area several times.
TCU's senior wide receiver and kick-return specialist Skye Dawson has also been hurt, with an apparent back injury.
Boykin had taken over TCU's offense from Casey Pachall, who left TCU under suspension due to substance-abuse issues. Sophomore Matt Brown takes the reigns of the Horned Frogs' offense having thrown just four passes this season. As a freshman in 2011, Brown would play in small spurts as a run-game specialist, rushing 24 times for 118 yards, while throwing for 90 yards on three completions.
The first quarter ended with Kansas State holding a 10-0 lead.
