Kansas State is ranked No. 1 in the BCS standings for the first time in school history, but will need to win at Waco for the first time since 2002 to keep their ranking. Heisman hopeful Collin Klein leads the Wildcats offense against an overmatched Bears defense. Kansas State is eighth in the nation in points scored, averaging 42.2 points per game. Baylor's defense, on the other hand, is ranked 118th in all of FBS, surrendering 39.4 points per game.
For the Bears to pull off the upset, their offense will need to win a shootout. Baylor averages 367.7 yards per game through the air, good for second in the country. Nick Florence and the Bears' offense can also light up the scoreboard, as they average 42.7 points per game, good for seventh in the nation.
The Kansas State defense will present the toughest challenge the Bears have faced all season. The Wildcats only allow 17.7 points per game, making them the top-ranked defense in the Big 12. Kansas State defenders also have 14 interceptions on the year, which is the second-most in the conference.
