The Seminoles have held five opponents under 10 points, which does not bode well for the Maryland offense and quarterback Shawn Petty, a converted linebacker who has started twice after the Terps' first four signal callers were injured this year. Florida State has won five straight against Maryland and is 20-2 in the series. With a win in this game and a victory at North Carolina next week, Maryland can still qualify as bowl-eligible.
