Syracuse vs. Missouri final score: Orange complete comeback against Tigers, winning 31-27 and earning bowl eligbility

The Syracuse Orange become bowl eligible following their 31-27 comeback victory over the Missouri Tigers.

The Syracuse Orange became bowl eligible for just the second time in eight seasons, defeating the Missouri Tigers 31-27 in Columbia, MO. The Tigers jumped out to a 14-3 lead after the first quarter and held a 10-point lead at half. The Orange battled back in the fourth, as quarterback Ryan Nassib completed a pass to Alec Lemon with 20 seconds left to win the game.

Nassib became the Orange's all-time leader in passing yards Saturday, throwing for 385 yards and two touchdowns. Lemon had an incredible day receiving, hauling in 15 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns. Prince-Tyson Gulley and Jerome Smith each added a rushing touchdown.

James Franklin led the Tiger offense, completing 18 of his 24 passes for 317 yards before being knocked out of the game in the final quarter. Franklin also threw two touchdowns and zero interceptions, with one of his touchdown passes coming on a 70-yard throw to Dorial Green-Beckham. Running back Kendial Lawrence had a strong day on the ground, rushing for 119 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries.

Box Score Hero: Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib, throwing for 385 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner. Nassib also became Syracuse’s all-time leader in passing yards.

Rankings Ramifications: Neither team should factor in the rankings next week.
