It’s time for some Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate, with both Georgia and Georgia Tech playing their last regular season games before heading to their respective conference title matchups.
Georgia Tech vs. Georgia 2012 previews: TV schedule, odds and more
Two teams headed towards their respective conference championships meet in a rivalry game Saturday as the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs have to stop Georgia Tech’s triple option to keep their outside national title hopes alive.

For Georgia, there's a lot on the line: the No. 3 Bulldogs have a spot in the SEC Championship game, most likely against Alabama, sealed up as they finished conference play at 7-1 and hold the head-to-head advantage over the Florida Gators. A win in that game would almost definitely bump the No. 2 Crimson Tide out of the national championship and put Georgia in. That would likely go by the wayside if they lose on Saturday.
Georgia Tech has essentially backed in to an ACC Championship Game spot, as Miami still had an opportunity to tie up the Atlantic Division and beat the Yellow Jackets earlier in the season, but decided to self-impose a bowl ban. That said, things have really turned around for Paul Johnson's team, having won four straight conference games after losing three of their first four to start the year. Their triple option is really clicking - they've scored 33, 68, and 42 in their last three outings - but they'll have to contend with a vicious Georgia defense led by Jarvis Jones and Bacarri Rambo.
Here’s the info on Saturday’s game:
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-5, 5-3 ACC) vs. No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs (10-1, 7-1 SEC)
Game time, TV channel: 12 p.m. ET, ESPN
