Two former Big 12 schools will meet for the first time in SEC play, as No. 9 Texas A&M hosts Missouri with hopes of staying alive for a BCS berth.

The No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies will try to keep the Missouri Tigers from reaching bowl eligibility as the two teams meet for the first time in their new conference. The Aggies still have an outside chance of going to a BCS bowl.

Each team has answered the question of whether they belong in the SEC a little bit differently: the Aggies dropped close ones to Florida and LSU, but Johnny Manziel has otherwise been undefeated including a win over then-No. 1 Alabama. Hypothetically, they'd have a chance to appear in the SEC title game with an Alabama loss and a win on Saturday, but that seems highly unlikely with the Crimson Tide playing Auburn. Still, they've coasted through a tough schedule and earned a likely Top-10 ranking heading into a bowl. Although they're one of the top 14 teams in the country, only two teams from any conference can go to a BCS bowl. The Aggies are currently the fifth-highest team in the SEC, but with a bit of help (and a highly marketable quarterback) can still reach the BCS.
As for Mizzou, they’re 5-6 on the year after a non-conference loss to Syracuse last week, and therefore they need a win Saturday just to become bowl eligible. The Tigers have managed wins in College Station each of the last two seasons, but that will be a little bit harder against the No. 9 team in the country. They’re major underdogs heading into Saturday’s game, so there’s a good chance they’ll be sitting at home come bowl season.
