The real story is the punishing hit he gave Loucheiz Purifoy on the kickoff following the long field goal that put the Seminoles up 20-13 on the Gators late in the third quarter.
Maybe that’s a fine in the NFL. Maybe it’s intent to harm. Maybe it’s close to a penalty. I don’t know. But it’s definitely an old school, throw back type of hit that sums up this game perfectly. These two teams are in a grudge match, and there’s an awful lot of pride on the line.
