Louisville vs. Rutgers score: Big plays driving Knights toward first BCS bid

The football edition of the Future Big Ten/Future ACC Challenge has been all Rutgers so far.

With a BCS bid on the line for both sides, Rutgers leads Louisville at the break, 14-3, despite the game actually being much closer than that. The Knights have basically made two big plays. Of course, when your big plays are an 85-yard touchdown by Brandon Coleman and a 68-yard touchdown by Mark Harrison, you don't always need much else.

Louisville's offense has been hampered to some degree by Teddy Bridgewater's slew of injuries, which has him switching snaps with backup Will Stein. The two have played decently, combining to go 14 of 19 for 114 yards, but Bridgewater is the Cardinals' best player, and having him at full strength (especially if he could move his feet) would've made some sort of difference so far.

On the other side, Rutgers has ... I mean, like nothing, except for those two big plays. The Cards have to feel great about their shape on defense, if they can prevent any more explosive scores, but will have to find a solution for the banged-up Bridgewater problem.

Other than those two plays, we’ve seen 224 yards worth of offense on the night so far.
