Toledo loses first MAC contest to Ball St., 34-27
Andrew Weber-US PRESSWIREEdwards, the sophomore running back, rushed for 105 yards on 16 carries as Ball State (8-2, 5-1 MAC) piled up 447 total yards of offense. The Cardinals built a 14-0 lead in the first quarter before the Rockets came storming back, eventually tying the score at 17.
After falling behind, 27-24, for the first time in the game early in the fourth quarter following Fluellen’s touchdown run, the Cardinals responded by tying the game on a 30-yard field goal by Steven Schott.
