Ball State vs. Toledo 2012 viewing guide: Preview, TV schedule and more

The Toledo Rockets seek to prove they deserve their Top 25 ranking when they host the Ball State Cardinals on Tuesday night.

The Toledo Rockets have won eight straight games and earned a spot in the AP Top 25 for the first time in over ten years, a spot they'd like to keep by defeating the Ball State Cardinals on Tuesday night.

Toledo (8-1, 5-0 MAC) lost their season opener in overtime in Arizona against the Wildcats, but have been red hot since, including a 29-23 victory over Cincinnati. The Rockets average 34.3 points per game and are led on offense by running back David Fluellen, who is third in the nation with 1,181 rushing yards on the season. Toledo looks to stay undefeated in-conference and keep pace with Northern Illinois in the West Division of the MAC.

Ball State (6-3, 3-2) will pose a stiff challenge for the Rockets. The Cardinals have only lost to No. 10 Clemson, and two one-loss teams in Kent State and Northern Illinois. Ball State boasts their own dangerous offense, at 33.7 points per game. They can move the ball on the ground, averaging 202.4 yards rushing per game behind running back Jahwan Edwards or through the air, averaging 270.8 yards passing per game with the deadly combo of quarterback Keith Wenning and wide receiver Willie Snead.

Game time, TV channel: 8 p.m. ET, ESPN2

Point spread: Toledo favored by 6.5 points
