The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to continue their trend of winning a conference title in even-numbered years under head coach Bob Stoops. However, for the Sooners to capture another Big 12 title, they will need to do more than just defeat the TCU Horned Frogs. They will also need Texas to upset Kansas State.
Oklahoma vs. TCU game previews: TV schedule, odds and more
Oklahoma can win the Big 12 title on Saturday by defeating TCU, if Kansas State falls to Texas.

Oklahoma is also vying for a BCS bowl bid and will likely get one if it wins and the MAC champion does not finish in the top 16 of the final BCS standings.
There are a lot of things that Oklahoma cannot control, but the one thing it can is defeating TCU. Winning against the Horned Frogs will not be easy as their defense is the best in the Big 12. However, the TCU defense will be tested as Oklahoma is third in the league in total yards per game.
Quarterback Landry Jones will be leading the way for Oklahoma as he is averaging 340 yards per game, and that could be the difference. The weaker part of TCU's stellar defense is its passing game, and that could be an area where the Sooners could create an advantage. The Horned Frogs' defense is 50th nationally and allows 226 passing yards per contest.
Both teams are coming off of big wins this past week; Oklahoma defeated rival Oklahoma State, 51-18, in overtime, and TCU was able to upset Texas on Thanksgiving. TCU has been up and down in league play, and has not won consecutive games since it had a four-game winning streak to start the season.
