Mark Stoops won’t coach bowl game for Florida State, per report
Mark Stoops won’t be on the Seminoles’ sideline in their bowl game.

Stoops recently landed the vacant head coaching job at the University of Kentucky. Stoops is taking over for Joker Phillips, who led the Wildcats to a dismal 2-10 record this season.
It's a tough pill to swallow for the Seminoles, who come into Saturday's ACC Championship Game against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets ranked 7th in the nation defensively, averaging just 15.1 points per game allowed. Their stout defense has led the Seminoles to an impressive 10-2 record thus far, and has them poised for a BCS bowl berth.
Stoops has been with Florida State since 2010, and has done a fine job as defensive backs’ coach and coordinator. This will be Stoops’ first job as a head coach in college football, and third for his family.
His most famous brother, Bob, has long been a success at Oklahoma, while his other brother Mike coached at Arizona.
