The Bears exploded out of the gates to a 24-3 lead and went into the half with a 31-17 lead. However, Baylor had to hold its breath late as the Cowboys cut the lead to seven with a late touchdown pass from Clint Chelf to David Gidden. But their onside kick attempt failed and the Bears were able to run out the clock.

The Bears got big games from quarterback Nick Florence, running back Seastrunk and wide receiver Tevin Reese. Florence finished with 295 yards on 23-for-39 passing and one touchdown. Seastrunk carried the ball 16 times for 179 yards and an inspiring 76-yard touchdown that saw him deal with an apparent leg injury for the final 20 yards of the carry, but he kept on going. Reese grabbed five balls for 108 yards and a touchdown.

Chelf finished with 336 yards on 30-for-51 passing and two touchdowns but he threw two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown in the first quarter by Eddie Lackey. Joseph Randle rushed for 130 yards on 23 carries and Josh Stewart grabbed 12 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown.

The win moves the Bears to 7-5 overall, 4-5 in the Big 12 and the Cowboys drop to 7-5, 5-4 in conference.

Box Score Hero: Quarterbacks always get the love, so this is going to Bears running back Lache Seastrunk, who finished with 179 yards on 16 carries and a touchdown. His 76-yard touchdown run was the icing on the cake of an inspired performance by the Bears.

Rankings Ramifications: The Cowboys should fall out of the rankings. Whether Baylor slides in with a 7-5 record is tough to call.

But Did They Cover?: Oklahoma State came in as 5-point favorites and were upset by the Bears.
