Nick Montana, who is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana, is transferring from Mt. San Antonio College to Tulane. He'll have two years of eligibility remaining once he arrives at Tulane, and he could potentially start immediately, as the Green Wave are losing starter Ryan Griffin to graduation. His primary competition for the starting role could be Devin Powell, who appeared in two games as a freshman in 2012.
Joe Montana’s son transferring to Tulane
Nick Montana spent last season at Mt. San Antonio College after transferring from Washington, and now he’s on his way to Tulane.

Montana began his college career at Washington, where he spent two seasons. He made one start during his redshirt freshman season and decided to seek more playing time elsewhere.
At Mt. San Antonio College this season, he completed 63.2 percent of his attempts for 2,652 yards and 22 touchdowns, leading the team to an 11-1 record. That performance generated interest from FBS programs--back in November, he said he had offers from Akron and Western Kentucky, and that he’d spoken with Louisiana Tech, Michigan and Arkansas State, among others.
