The final Coaches Poll of the year is a treasure trove of insights and whimsy, none greater than whatever Bret Bielema’s card appeared to have told him to do.

Here is the breakdown of how every Coaches Poll coach* voted in a poll that really, really matters and actively counts towards the national championship and helps determine which schools get to bring back multi-million dollar paydays to their conferences and which schools have to play in the middle of nowhere for nickels. This is a poll that matters, counts toward the BCS, is important and affects literally millions of lives and hundreds of livelihoods.

That’s 10-2 Oklahoma, which might go to the Sugar Bowl, and 7-5 Oklahoma State. Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State. There is no way anyone thinks Oklahoma State is that much better, if at all, than Oklahoma.
Elsewhere, James Franklin is a raging SEC homer, Brady Hoke is a classic man of classic tastes, Tommy Tuberville finds time for an old friend in Alabama, and Nick Saban does not rank his alma mater.
