How to watch Poinsettia Bowl online, TV schedule, radio and more

The Poinsettia Bowl brings together two former conference mates: the BYU Cougars and the San Diego State Aztecs.

Otto Kitsinger III

Former Mountain West Conference rivals collide when the BYU Cougars take on the San Diego State Aztecs in the Poinsettia Bowl. The Cougars come into this matchup as an independent, having finished with a 7-5 record in the regular season. The Aztecs will be looking to reach double-digit wins as their record sits at 9-3.

BYU has been rotating quarterbacks all season. Senior Riley Nelson began the year as the starter, but he was eventually supplanted by freshman Taysom Hill. After Hill went down to injury, Nelson returned but he has also been hampered, giving James Lark the opportunity. BYU blog Vanquish The Foe is still trying to figure out who will start, and is just glad to see the controversy end.

As for the Aztecs, MWC blog Mountain West Connection reports that San Diego State will be without second-leading rusher Walter Kazee. The senior had rushed for 822 yards and eight touchdowns this year. Fortunately for SDSU, they will still have Adam Muema. The sophomore has carried the ball 211 times for 1,355 yards and 16 scores in 2012.

These two school last met in 2010, with BYU winning, 24-21, in Provo, Utah.
