Alabama junior lineback C.J. Mosley officially announced on Thursday that he will not leave school early for the NFL and stay for his senior season with the Crimson Tide:
C.J. Mosley will return to Alabama for senior season
Finally, some good news for Alabama football! The Tide got a pleasant surprise from one of their top defensive players.

C.J. Mosley to return to Alabama in 2013 for his senior year.

Mosely was ranked as the No. 18 prospect for the upcoming 2013 NFL Draft by SB Nation’s Mocking the Draft, but will now spend another season chasing titles in Tuscaloosa. He leads the country’s best defense in tackles with 99 and also picked off two passes to go along with seven tackles for loss and four sacks. Mosley broke up two passes, forced a fumble, and hurried the quarterback three times as part of one of the top defenses in the country.
The news comes as Alabama prepares for their BCS Championship meeting with Notre Dame. Nick Saban will likely be pleased to not have the distraction of the decision hanging over one of his top player’s heads.
