[Iowa State defensive lineman Jake] McDonough, a former star at West Des Moines Valley, struck up a conversation with the uncle of Tech N9ne - pronounced “nine” and the performing name of Kansas City-based Aaron Yates - while working as a member of the security staff at a concert.
McDonough explained that he provided “beats” for songs.
