Geordon Hanohano Injury: Hawai’i DT Carted Off Field
Backup defensive tackle Geordon Hanohano left the BYU game with a neck injury and was taken off the field on a stretcher.

Hanohano fell to the ground after a hit that did not appear especially vicious. However, he did get hit in the head by a BYU offensive player before falling..
The injury occurred on a running play by BYU quarterback Taysom Hill. Trainers from both teams came to Hanohano’s aid, and were checking him out while a backboard and stretcher were brought to the field. While being carted off of the field, Hanohano did raise his hand to the Hawai’i crowd to show that he was doing OK.
After play resumed following the injury, BYU ended up scoring a touchdown just two plays later on a Jamaal Williams 2-yard touchdown run.
