Eddie Lacy, Dee Milliner and D.J. Fluker leave Alabama for 2013 NFL Draft

Alabama loses three of their most talented juniors after two straight national championships, as running back Eddie Lacy, cornerback Dee Milliner, and offensive tackle D.J. Fluker announced Friday they would leave for the NFL.

There were no surprises among Alabama's junior stars considering the 2013 NFL Draft, as Eddie Lacy, Dee Milliner, and D.J. Fluker officially announced at a press conference Friday that they'd all be going pro.

The trio are all considered good prospects: Millner is the best cornerback in the draft, and should be off the board within the first 10 picks. Fluker is one of three elite Alabama offensive linemen in the draft, and the only one who plays tackle, and is expected to be picked in the late-first or early-second round. And Lacy is in a weak pool of running backs, and is expected to be a second-round pick.

All three were key parts of Alabama's second straight national title: Milliner led the nation in passes defended and breakups with 22 and 20, respectively, including a big play early against Tyler Eifert -- also expected to be a first-round pick -- in the national title game. Fluker, the left tackle, helped pave the way for one of the most dominant rushing attacks in the country. Lacy led that attack, his draft stock skyrocketing after 181 yards in the SEC Championship Game, when he was MVP, and 140 in the national title game, bulldozing tacklers and showing off a pretty spin move.

The scary thing is that Alabama will be able to retool: T.J. Yeldon also ran for 1,000 yards, and although these three went pro, all-American linebacker C.J. Mosley and quarterback A.J. McCarron have remained steadfast in their desire to return for their senior seasons.
