Ole Miss football recruiting: Austin Golson visiting Rebels

Golson is a Florida State commit, but the Rebels will try to change his mind during his visit this weekend.

Spruce Derden-US PRESSWIRE

Offensive lineman prospect Austin Golson, from Prattville High School in Prattville, AL, is scheduled to visit the Ole Miss Rebels this weekend. Golson is committed to Florida State, but that has not stopped him from taking official visits at other schools.

Golson is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and is considered the 11th-best offensive tackle prospect in the 2013 class. He has offers from big-name programs including Alabama, Southern Cal, Clemson and Auburn.

He visited North Carolina in December and Alabama last weekend. Following his trip to Ole Miss, he will head to Tallahassee for a visit with the Seminoles, who will try to firm up his commitment.

In addition to Golson, the Rebels also will be hosting safety prospect Brandon King this weekend. King is currently committed to the Auburn Tigers.

The Rebels currently have 21 commitments in their 2013 recruiting class, including five four-star players as rated by Rivals.
