2013 Oklahoma football spring game schedule announced

The Sooners will embark on the post-Landry Jones era on April 13 at Memorial Stadium in Norman.

The Oklahoma Sooners will hold their spring game on Saturday, April 13, at Memorial Stadium in Norman. Further details, such as kickoff time, have not been announced by the school yet, but should be forthcoming sometime in the near future.

The biggest attraction for the 2013 Oklahoma spring game will be seeing who takes over at quarterback for the departing Landry Jones. Jones has been the starter in Norman since 2009, and while he’s been a productive player for the Sooners, many are excited about the prospect of finding out who’s next to take the snaps.

The two quarterbacks behind Jones on the OU depth chart are sophomore Blake Bell and junior Drew Allen. Bell has been used extensively as a short yardage back, but it's uncertain whether he can throw the ball consistently enough to be the full time starter. Redshirt freshman Trevor Knight, a former four-star recruit, could also factor into the mix for Oklahoma.
