The date for USC’s annual spring game has been set, as the Trojans will finish up their set of spring practices with an exhibition on April 13.

After a disappointing season, the USC Trojans will hope to bounce back beginning in spring ball, which wraps up with an exhibition on April 13.

With Max Wittek now the starting quarterback, Lane Kiffin's squad will try to bounce back from a disappointing year. Sure, the Trojans looked great this time last year - they were coming off a 10-2 year that could have been better had they been bowl eligible - but they crashed and burned in the regular season, finishing just 7-6 after ending the year as almost everybody's No. 1 ranked team. They lose some key cogs, including quarterback Matt Barkley and wide receiver Robert Woods, but Kiffin's brought in another elite recruiting class that could fill in.
The game will be held in the Los Angeles Coliseum and open to the public, with tickets available for purchase through the school. USC also announced that practices will begin in “early March” but would not provide more details.
Kiffin’s spring games aren’t exactly the most exciting affairs: first off, although nobody wants to see players get hurt in spring ball, there’s no tackling. In addition, USC subscribes to the “offense vs. defense” version of spring games, where points are awarded for various defensive accomplishments, rather than pitting two teams against each other. Last year’s game had over 15,000 attendees.
