The Texas Tech Red Raiders appear to have added white helmets back into the rotation for the 2013 season, according to a picture taken by Karson Land.
New Texas Tech helmets: White is back for 2013
The Red Raiders have traditionally worn black helmets, but appear to be putting white ones in the mix for the 2013 season.

The Red Raiders wore white helmets back in the early 70s, but have almost exclusively worn black helmets ever since. The team wore white helmets in five games during Tommy Tuberville’s first two seasons in charge in Lubbock, but they did not bring them out last season, in a move that made much of the fanbase very happy.
Texas Tech went 8-5 in 2012, but lost four of its final five regular season games. The Red Raiders also lost Tuberville, who bolted out of town when he was offered the Cincinnati job. However, no one really cried much over his loss, as former Red Raider quarterback and Texas A&M offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has taken over as the head man in Lubbock. I think most Tech fans would take that trade every time.
