Ka’Deem Carey booted from Arizona basketball game by police

The star running back for the Wildcats got into a confrontation with University police before leaving the arena.

Arizona Wildcats running back Ka'Deem Carey was reportedly kicked out of Arizona's basketball game against UCLA, according to the Arizona Daily Wildcat. Carey and his cousin were supposedly double seated and sitting on the backs of seats that weren't theirs, and were asked to produce their tickets by a University police officer. At that point, Carey allegedly told the officer to "Get the fuck out of my face," and "Do you know who I am? I'm an All-American." Both Carey and his cousin were removed from the arena.

Carey will supposedly be subject to a university code of conduct violation for the incident at the basketball game. He was charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct in December in connection with an incident involving he and his pregnant girlfriend. Carey plead not guilty to those charges, and is set for a pre-trial hearing on Feb. 6.

Carey was one of the nation’s most productive running backs in 2012, rushing for 1,929 yards and 23 touchdowns for a Wildcats team that went a surprising 8-5 under first year head coach Rich Rodriguez.
