Stanford Cardinal cornerback Terrence Brown will be entering the 2013 NFL Draft, he announced in a statement released to the university Tuesday. Brown is the third Cardinal player to announce he will forego his senior season for the NFL, joining tight ends Zach Ertz and Levine Toilolo.

Stanford cornerback Terrence Brown will forgo his senior season with the Cardinals to enter the 2013 NFL Draft in April, according to reports.

“My admission to Stanford University in 2009 was a life-changing event,” Brown said in the statement. “The past four years have been a great experience for me at Stanford, and I feel well prepared to move on to the next level.”
Stanford's defense received better news earlier in the week, when linebacker Shayne Skov and Trent Murphy, and defensive end Ben Gardner announced via Twitter that they will be returning for their final year of eligibility. The Cardinal defense was one of the best in college football last season, finishing 20th in the country in total defense and first with 57 sacks on the season.
Brown finished his junior season with 63 tackles, one interception and eight passes defended. Barry Browning will return as the Cardinal's top cornerback next season.
