Clemson Tigers quarterback Tajh Boyd will be announcing if he will be foregoing his senior season and entering the draft by 2:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, according to his personal twitter account. Boyd has put up impressive numbers in his two full seasons as a starter, but there is no guarantee he will be a high draft pick. His father believes the quarterback is leaning toward coming back to college:
Tajh Boyd’s NFL Draft decision coming Wednesday
Clemson’s star quarterback will be making a decision about his future soon.

Boyd threw for 3,896 yards and 36 touchdowns this season, both improvements on his sophomore year despite 72 fewer pass attempts. His completion percentage, something that translates to the NFL better than most stats, rose from 60 percent to 67 percent. Boyd also showed the ability to make plays with his feet, rushing for 514 yards and 10 touchdowns. In an NFL that has suddenly fallen in love with the read option, the ability to move certainly won’t hurt.
This year’s NFL Draft quarterback class is widely regarded as weak, so Boyd may have a good opportunity to become a high draft pick should he leave.
