Nebraska guard Spencer Long sidelined, on crutches

The All-American guard is currently out for Nebraska, but it’s not clear what exactly happened.

Eric Francis

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are without All-American guard Spencer Long, who is currently on crutches on the sidelines according to Husker Extra's Brian Christopherson. It's unclear at this point what injury Long is suffering from, and the school has yet to release any information on him. With the Huskers up 28-0 over Purdue in the third quarter, it's probably safe to say he won't return, even if he could play.

The Huskers have dominated Purdue today, rushing for four scores on the ground in the first two quarters and change. Nebraska has a well-timed bye week next week, which means Long could be back for the Minnesota game on Oct. 26 if his injury isn’t that serious.
