Minutes after streaking down the field on a 63-yard score to give Wisconsin its first touchdown of the day, star Badger WR Jared Abbrederis took a much slower trip to the locker room, then back out five minutes later. The diagnosis: a head injury, as the trainers told ESPN sideline reporter Shannon Spake.
Jared Abbrederis out with potential concussion
Wisconsin told ESPN its star wideout has a “head injury” and is done for the day.

The play on which Abbrederis was hurt wasn’t immediately evident, but the extent of his injury was obvious enough that Abbrederis has been declared done for the day by Wisconsin staff.
This may have a major effect on Wisconsin's offense for the rest of the game, as Abbrederis is virtually the only productive wide receiver for the Badgers, and he's the only WR opposing defenses have to account for on every play. No offense to Kenzel Doe and Jeff Duckworth, but ... they're not Abbrederis.
Even without Abbrederis, though, Wisconsin drove 75 yards for a touchdown on its very next drive, so it appears the Badgers may be able to adapt to this substantial loss.
