Starting Arkansas defensive tackle Robert Thomas will miss the rest of the Razorbacks' season after requiring surgery for a broken bone in his leg suffered in the team's blowout loss to South Carolina last week.

Thomas was tied for third on the team with six tackles for a loss, and also had 31 tackles and three-and-a-half sacks this season. At 6’3” and 325 pounds, he’s a massive presence in the middle and is considered an NFL prospect.
Thomas's most likely replacement is sophomore DeMarcus Hodge, who is actually 2 inches shorter and 10 pounds heavier than Thomas. This season, Hodge has eight tackles, with one for a loss.
Arkansas next plays on the road against No. 1 Alabama, who has one of the strongest offensive lines in the country.
