Stanford’s Kodi Whitfield snags ridiculous 1-handed TD catch vs. UCLA

Nobody was scoring in Stanford-UCLA, and then THIS happened.

Stanford-UCLA was one of the better games of the day, but got off to a turnover-filled ugly start. About halfway through the third quarter, the score was still tied 3-3 on the farm.

Then, Kodi Whitfield did this:

The only thing that really comes to mind with regards to catching the ball one-handed with the outside of one’s body is Aaron Dobson of Marshall a few years ago. You’re sorta not supposed to do that. And when it’s a 30-yard touchdown catch to give your team a 10-3 lead playing against a top-10 conference rival? It’s sort of a Play of the Year nominee ... although Marquez North might beg to differ.

Whitfield had just nine catches for 96 yards coming in.
