Star Alabama Crimson Tide safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has been suspended indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules, head coach Nick Saban announced after practice Wednesday.
Alabama safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix suspended for violation of team rules
The Tide will be without one of their star defenders for an unknown amount of time.

Clinton-Dix is the Tide's second-leading tackler, with 24 on the season (trailing only C.J. Mosley). A junior, he had four interceptions last year and was one of the key components of the dominating Alabama defense.
Senior Nick Perry was Clinton-Dix’s back-up heading into the season, but is injured and will not be able to play in his absence. Instead, one of two sophomore’s will likely replace the starting safety -- Landon Collins (19 tackles, three passes broken up in 2013) or Geno Smith (Nine tackles, two passes broken up in 2012).
The Tide are coming off a shutout win over Ole Miss, and will face lowly Georgia State Saturday. After that, it’s back into SEC play, with a road trip to Kentucky and home games against Arkansas, Tennessee and LSU.
